For Coaches
Set up your team in a few minutes.
- Open the app and choose Coach, then verify your email.
- Create your team, a join code is generated for you.
- Pick a ready-made program (Youth 5,000 / Intermediate 10,000 / Advanced 15,000 / In-Season) and set your start and end dates. Adjust anything.
- Invite parents, you enter parent emails, never a player's. Every coach-to-player message stays visible to that player's parent.
- Watch the effort come in on your roster dashboard.

I've set the program, shooting, fitness and stretching, with targets for each week, and your player logs what they actually do each day. Create your player's profile, then set them a username and a short PIN. That's how they'll log in from now on, on their own phone or any computer, no email needed. 3. For players under 16, you'll give consent as part of setup, that's on purpose. For Parents
You approve your player and see everything, read-only.
- Open the invite from your coach and set (and confirm) your password.
- Confirm it's you via the one-time link we email you.
- For a player under 16, give your consent.
- Create your player's profile, name, birthday, position.
- Set your player a username and PIN. This is how they log in from now on, their own phone or any computer, no email needed.
- That's it, you'll see everything they do and every message from their coach.
No leaderboards, no rankings, ever. No other family can see your player's information.
For Players
Two ways to get going:
- On a team: enter the team code from your coach (younger players sign in with the username + PIN a parent set) → see your coach's program → start logging.
- On your own: choose Train on my own → pick a program → start logging. Solo is just you and the work, no coach, no messages.
Then: log your reps, keep your streak, watch your Grind Score climb.

Questions people ask
How do I get my player signed in?
A coach invites the parent, and the parent creates the player's profile. The parent then gets a one-time code for the player. On the player's phone, open Honest Hockey and tap “Player with a code from your parent? Tap here,” then enter the code. After that first sign-in, the player stays signed in on that device.
I forgot my player's code.
No problem, you don't need to remember it. As the parent, open your child in the app, go to Manage account, and make a new sign-in code. Give the new one to your player and they're back in.
Why can't my player log training yet?
For players under 16, a parent has to approve them first. Until you approve, they can look around but can't log training or message a coach. Once you approve from your parent account, everything unlocks. This gate is on purpose, it keeps younger players safe.
I'm a coach, how do I set up my team?
Create a coach account, name your team (your 7-day free trial starts right there), build the program, pick a ready-made one or make your own in about ten minutes, then invite parents by email.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Manage or cancel your plan any time on your billing page. Enter the email you signed up with and you get a secure link by email, so there is no extra password to remember. From there you can see your invoices, update your card, or cancel. Cancelling stops the next payment, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Is my child's data private?
Yes. A player's information is seen only by their own parent and their coach, never other families. There are no leaderboards, no rankings, no ads, and we never sell your data. Parental consent is built into signup for minors. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
The app isn't working, or I think I found a bug.
