Delete your Honest Hockey account

Honest Hockey is made by GetHonestHockey. This page explains how to delete your Honest Hockey account, what is removed when you do, and what is kept.

Delete it yourself, in the app

1. Open Honest Hockey and sign in.
2. Tap More.
3. Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
4. Read what will be removed, then type DELETE to confirm.

It happens straight away. You are signed out on every device and it cannot be undone.

If you cannot get into the app

Email privacy@gethonesthockey.com from the address the account was set up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm it is you and delete the account within 30 days, usually the same week.

What is deleted

Your name, your email address, your profile photo if you added one, and every message you sent.

For a player, the whole training history goes with it: daily logs, drill logs, shot counts, goalie work, streaks, and the parental consent record.

The sign-in itself is destroyed, including every active session on every device.

If you are a coach, this ends the team

Deleting a coach account deletes every team that coach created, and with it the programs, the drills, the team staff list, the team logo, and the team’s messages.

The players are not deleted. Their accounts, their profile photos and their own training history stay with them, without a team, so nothing a player did is lost because a coach left.

If you are a parent

Players under 16 on your account are deleted with you, including their profile photos and their full training history.

Players aged 16 or over keep their own account and their own training history. They are simply no longer linked to you, and we remove your email address from their record.

What is kept, and for how long

Billing records. If you paid for a subscription, the invoice and payment record are held by our payment processor, Stripe. Canadian tax law requires us to keep records of a sale for six years. They are held against the person who paid, never against a player, and are not used for anything else.

Backups. We do not keep long-term backups of the database. When your account is deleted, the data is removed immediately and is not recoverable.

Nothing else is kept. There is no shadow copy, no anonymised profile left behind, and none of it is ever sold or shared. See our Privacy Policy.
