You draw it on the whiteboard between periods. Everyone nods. Then four of them skate out to the wrong spot, because a diagram shows every job at once and a kid can only hold their own.

Nothing on it moves. A player has to work out which arrow is theirs, then picture the rest of it happening at speed with eleven other people.
And they only see it once.
Interactive learning
The play moves. A player taps their own position and watches their own job, in plain language, as many times as they need.
They also see where everybody else is going, which is the part a still picture cannot teach.
Then it asks them one question about a situation. Not a memory test.

What a player actually gets
The same play, told five different ways.
They pick their position. Centre, wing or defence. Their job is different in each one, and so are the words.
They watch it move. All five players, the puck, the whole thing at speed, with their own instruction on screen as it happens.
They see everyone else's job too. A winger learns where the centre is going to be, which is what makes the play work in a game.
Then it asks them one question. A situation, not a fact. Wrong answer and it plays again. Right answer and they move on.
Nothing is scored and nobody is told. Not the coach, not the parent. The moment a kid thinks they are being marked, they stop answering honestly.
